What does a session involve?
The typical session begins with you sharing a brief overview of the problem that you want to resolve. Once I have helped you to clearly identify the issue further, we will then focus on your outcome or goal - what you would rather have instead of this problem.
The rest of the session will involve a combination of NLP based mental exercises, to help harness the power of your subconscious mind, and EFT based tapping, to release the issue and its symptoms on an energetic level. Together this is a recipe for fast and significant personal growth at the deepest levels.
You can expect to feel relaxed, in control and comfortable throughout every session.

In what ways will sessions have a positive effect on me?
Sessions will enable you to become clear about any issues you are faced with and then resolve them by helping you to identify hidden resources within your conscious and subconscious mind. NLP and EFT represent the cutting edge of personal change work. These tools are far more powerful than the outdated approaches of positive thinking, talk therapy or psycho-analysis; this is results driven work that aims to give you the results you are wanting in as short a time as possible.
Note that each session is complete within itself, so even if a significant issue arises, I take great care to ensure that it is handled in a way that allows you to return to your daily life feeling positive, relieved and pleased that you came.

Can I expect to feel a noticeable difference from the first session?
Yes, you can absolutely expect to feel noticeably different after a single session. My clients report a variety of immediate benefits such as a sense of relief, calmness, optimism, peace, more energy, greater confidence, new options and possibilities, better sleep, a brighter future and greater inner strength.
It is quite typical that a long held belief such as "I'm not good enough" will simply have lost all of its meaning and significance at the end of a single 90 minute session. go to top
Is NLP like counselling or psychoanalysis?
No, rather than investigating and analysing what you are thinking, NLP is focuses on the process of how you are thinking. It can be thought of as an accelerated way of achieving the results you really want to have. Rather than being concerned with the nature of the problems in your past, NLP focuses on how you would rather be feeling and living your life now and in your future.
Similar to making a journey in a car, NLP pre-supposes that you are better off focusing on how to get to your desired destination, rather than focusing on where you have come from.
Another notable distinction is that at no point should an NLP therapist offer their own judgment, advice or recommendations to the client. Instead, the changes to be made will be chosen solely by the client's conscious and subconscious mind.

Is NLP like hypnosis?
NLP is different from hypnotism in that the client will not be put into a deep trance during the session. Instead, the client remains conscious and completely aware throughout. While experience has proven that deep trances are not necessary for powerful changes to take place, NLP draws upon useful hypnotic language patterns in order to help unleash the power of the unconscious mind.

Will I have to tell you all my painful and embarrassing memories?
No, fortunately NLP and EFT allow you to get great benefits from each session without having to divulge the specific content of your memories. As mentioned before, NLP is interested in how you are thinking, rather than what you are thinking about. So, if you prefer, sessions can be run without you having to say anything about the specific content of your problem.
When using EFT you will be truly surprised at how fast seemingly huge problems and pains diminish in intensity within minutes of tapping. Once the emotional intensity is released you are well on your way to owning that memory, rather than having that memory emotionally own you!
It is common that I will have a 90 minute session throughout which my client experiences an incredible emotional release without speaking a single detail about the actual event they are remembering.

Do I have to lie on a couch?
No. You will be sitting in a chair facing me at a comfortable distance. You will be awake and conscious and in full control throughout the entire session. There is no physical touching either.

How many sessions will I need?
Experience has taught me to work on a session by session basis because it is difficult to predict, and often surprising to see, just how much change can come from the first session. Even if the issue appears to have been resolved after the first session, it is highly recommended to have a second 'sweep up' session to remove any reminance of the issue.
The majority of issues are resolved within 2-3 sessions.
